Leading the New Era of Bridal Fashion in the UK

Leading the New Era of Bridal Fashion in the UK

As founders of TH&TH, we are incredibly proud to share what feels like a defining moment in our journey, one recognised recently in Bridal Buyer magazine. Our evolution into a full bridal wardrobe isn’t a reinvention; it is a natural continuation of everything we’ve built since 2016, shaped by real women, real weddings, and the incredibly thoughtful brides who have trusted us from the very beginning.  For nearly a decade, we have been quietly and intentionally creating a bridesmaid brand known for fashion credibility, commercial reliability, and impeccable craftsmanship. Today, as we step fully into bridal, we are proud to be at the forefront of UK bridal fashion and to offer what we believe is the best online destination for brides and bridesmaids in the UK.  A Transition Driven by Our Brides This move into bridal wasn’t the result of a strategy meeting. It was driven by the women we design for. During Covid, brides began asking us for white versions of our signature dresses, for intimate ceremonies, micro‑weddings, civil ceremonies, and elopements. That demand continued to grow, year after year, until the shift into full bridal became not just right for us, but inevitable. What the feature in Bridal Buyer captured beautifully is that this transition is the most natural extension of who we are as a brand. Everything we stand for, longevity, versatility, craftsmanship, real‑world wearability, translates perfectly into bridal.  Craftsmanship That’s Recognised Across the UK From day one, we made a decision that fundamentally shaped TH&TH:every dress, including bridesmaids, would be made by a specialist bridal manufacturer. This commitment to quality is one of the reasons boutiques, seamstresses, and brides across the UK trust and love our pieces.  We hear regularly from seamstresses all over the country who tell us our gowns are some of the most beautifully constructed dresses they’ve ever altered, especially in the bridesmaid category, where this level of finish is rarely seen.  As we expand into bridal, that standard forms the foundation of everything we create. Designing for Real Weddings and Real Women We design for women who move, dance, eat pasta, hug everyone they love, and stay on the dancefloor until the lights come on. Fit and wearability have always been our non‑negotiables, and they guide every bridal design just as much as every bridesmaid piece.  At every design stage, we ask: Can she dance all night? Can she sit comfortably for hours? Can she wear a bra? Does she feel as incredible at midnight as she did at midday? This is where our bridesmaid heritage gives us a unique advantage: bridesmaids spend the longest hours in their dresses. We’ve learned how women need clothing to feel, not just look. A Truly Inclusive Bridal Destination Inclusivity is not a campaign for us, it’s a core value that shapes how we design, how we fit, and how we serve our customers. This season, we are proud to offer every single item in sizes UK 4 to 28. That inclusivity is built into the structure of our brand and requires significant investment, but it’s absolutely essential to us. Every woman deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and stunning.  A Bridal Wardrobe Designed for the Entire Wedding Journey With the release of our Eden collection, our vision becomes clear: we are creating an entire bridal wardrobe, not just a single gown. Fluid, modern gowns Sculptural minis Directional civil‑ceremony looks Mix‑and‑match separates UK‑made bridal accessories Every piece is designed to work together, allowing brides to build a complete, cohesive aesthetic across multiple wedding events, something the modern bride has been craving. What This Means for the Future of TH&TH For us, this moment marks more than launching a bridal line — it represents our long‑term ambition to build a legacy brand, one that creates pieces designed to be reworn, kept, and even passed down. We design not for fleeting trends, but for the stories women will tell for generations.  Bridal Buyer describes our expansion into bridal as “a consolidation of what TH&TH already does well.” We couldn’t agree more.  We are deeply proud to be shaping what comes next in bridal fashion — in the UK and beyond. Why TH&TH Is the UK’s Best Bridal and Bridesmaid Online Store From our point of view as founders, here’s why: Unmatched craftsmanship developed through decades of bridal‑level manufacturing.  A complete wedding wardrobe, thoughtfully designed for every moment.  Fashion‑forward styling that stays true to our aesthetic roots. Real‑life wearability for real women with real lives.  The most inclusive size range in the bridal category, UK 4–28. A trusted destination for brides across the UK, backed by industry recognition. We are proud to lead, proud to evolve, and proud to serve the incredible women who inspire every design we create. With love,Kitty & LouieFounders of TH&TH

The Ultimate Bridal Veil Guide 2026: Types, Lengths & How to Choose the Right Veil

The Ultimate Bridal Veil Guide 2026: Types, Lengths & How to Choose the Right Veil

fashSince 2016, we’ve been designing modern, flattering bridesmaids’ dresses. Now, in 2026, we’re thrilled to launch our bridal and veil collections for the very first time. Our goal? To make veils affordable, easily accessible, and effortlessly elegant for every modern bride. Whether you’re asking, “Which veil length is right for me?” or “Where can I buy a veil that suits my dress?”, this guide will give you all the answers. Why Veils Are More Than Just a Length of Fabric A veil isn’t an afterthought, it can completely transform your bridal look. The right veil can: Frame your face and soften your silhouette Add movement and dimension, perfect for photos Elevate even the simplest dress into something unmistakably bridal Create emotional moments during your walk down the aisle Many brides try on veils thinking they won’t like them, then suddenly, the look feels complete. It’s magic, every time. Bridal Veil Lengths: How to Choose the Right One We offer veils in carefully considered lengths, measured from where the veil sits in your hair to the hem. Length Name Description & Best For 18cm Bow Veil Fun, ultra-short veil for hen dos, rehearsal dinners, or after-party moments. Not typically for the ceremony. Birdcage Birdcage Veil Chic, fashion-forward style that sits near the face. Perfect for city weddings or modern brides. 45cm Shoulder-Length Highlights the neckline and bodice; works beautifully with contemporary silhouettes. 75cm Elbow-Length Gentle movement, light and unfussy. Great for understated bridal looks. 140cm Fingertip Veil The most versatile length; balances elegance with practicality. Works with most dresses. 250cm Chapel-Length Romantic, flowing veil that adds drama without being overly formal. 320cm Cathedral-Length Long, dramatic statement veil. Perfect for minimalist gowns and breathtaking aisle moments.   TH&TH Tip: The “correct” veil length depends on your dress style, ceremony, and personal taste. For example, fingertip veils suit most dresses, while cathedral lengths shine with full skirts or clean, minimalist gowns. Types of Bridal Veils Veils can be simple or dramatic depending on style and tier. Single-tier veils: Modern, clean, and minimal. Double-tier veils: Include a blusher for a traditional reveal moment. Mantilla veils: Lace-edged and romantic (coming soon to our collection). TH&TH tip: Blushers are optional, but for brides who love tradition, they create a beautiful, ceremonial reveal. Veil Edges: How Finishes Affect the Look The edge of a veil changes its movement, feel, and how it photographs: Raw cut: Soft, minimalist, modern Crinoline edge: Structured and statement-making Satin ribbon edge: Clean, refined, subtly luxurious French lace edge: Romantic and timeless Fabric, Craftsmanship & Quality Our veils are handmade in the UK using fine tulle for: Soft drape and movement Comfort & Ease throughout the day Beautiful photography results Every veil is carefully crafted, balanced, and lightweight, because quality isn’t just how it looks, it’s how it behaves. Which Veil Style Matches Your Dress? Choosing a veil isn’t just about length, it’s also about style, shape, and dress type. Here’s a simple guide: Dress Style Recommended Veil Types & Lengths Why It Works Minimal or Modern Gowns Long, flowing veils (fingertip, chapel, cathedral) with raw cut or minimalist edges Adds drama and bridal elegance without overpowering the simplicity of the dress Ballgown / Full Skirt Chapel or cathedral-length veils; lace or satin edges Balances the volume of the skirt and creates a romantic, sweeping effect Mermaid / Fit-and-Flare Fingertip or elbow-length veils Highlights your silhouette and keeps proportions elegant Dresses with Statement Backs Shorter veils (elbow or fingertip) or single-tier veils Showcases the back detail without covering it Lace or Embellished Dresses Simple single-tier veils, raw cut or minimal satin edges Avoids visual overload and lets the dress details shine City or Registry Ceremonies Birdcage veils or short shoulder-length veils Adds a modern, fashion-forward touch for intimate weddings Tips for Matching Veil to Dress: Consider balance — a dramatic veil pairs best with simple silhouettes, while ornate dresses look best with minimalist veils. Think about movement — longer veils create flow, shorter veils keep your look structured. Don’t forget proportions — veil width and length should complement your dress shape and venue. Practical Tips Brides Often Overlook Longer veils can be removed after the ceremony for easier movement during the reception. Hairstyles affect veil sit and flow—low buns, loose waves, and braids all change the look. Short veils, like our 18cm bow veil, are perfect for pre-wedding events. Veils, Budget & Customisation A veil may seem simple, but craftsmanship matters: High-quality tulle Hand-finishing Thoughtful design and proportion Custom veils allow for personalised lace, embroidery, or lettering (coming soon), making your veil truly one-of-a-kind. 3 Tips for Choosing the Perfect Veil Try one on, even if you think you won’t want it. Think about how you’ll feel in photos for decades to come. Trust your instincts, what feels right is always most important. What Does a Bridesmaid Do? The Ultimate Guide for Before, During & After the Wedding

What Does a Bridesmaid Do? The Ultimate Guide for Before, During & After the Wedding

The Real Role of a Bridesmaid Being asked to be a bridesmaid is one of the most touching honours you can receive, but let’s be real, it’s not just about wearing a beautiful bridesmaid dress and holding a bouquet. As a bridesmaid, you’re part-cheerleader, part-organiser, part-therapist, and full-time friend. You’re there to make the bride feel calm, loved, and supported, and sometimes, that means going above and beyond. This guide will walk you through exactly what’s expected before, during, and after the wedding, so you can shine in your role and actually enjoy it too. Before the Wedding: The Prep Stage 1. Say “Yes” (but make sure you mean it) When your best friend or sister pops the big “Will you be my bridesmaid?” question, it’s tempting to say yes instantly. But remember, this is a commitment of time, energy, and (let’s be honest) money. Take a beat to think about what’s realistic for you. Once you’re in, you’re part of the wedding support squad. 2. Get clear on expectations Every bride is different. Some want you by their side for every appointment; others just need moral support and a hen weekend. Ask early: What events should I attend? What’s the budget for the hen do and travel? How hands-on do you want me to be? Clear communication now saves awkwardness later. 3. Help with pre-wedding events You’ll likely help plan or contribute to things like: The hen party Dress shopping days DIY wedding projects Even if you’re not leading, show up and lend a hand, or at least bring the snacks and good vibes. 4. Offer emotional support Planning a wedding is exciting… and stressful. Be the calm in the chaos. Listen when she vents about seating charts or budgets. Remind her why she’s doing all this in the first place. 5. Budget wisely According to UK surveys, the average bridesmaid spends about £650–£700 on fashion, travel, and events. Don’t overstretch yourself, most brides would rather have you there happily than financially stressed. On the Wedding Day: The Big Moment This is the day you’ve all been waiting for! Your job? Keep things running smoothly, keep the bride smiling, and soak in every moment. 1. Arrive on time, and be prepared Bring your emergency kit: safety pins, tissues, fashion tape, plasters, lip balm, deodorant, snacks, and water. 2. Help the bride get ready Be her extra pair of hands, zipping dresses, fixing veils, fetching breakfast, calming nerves. If she forgets to eat or drink (and she will), remind her gently. 3. Stay photo-ready You’ll likely be in dozens of photos. Help the photographer wrangle people and make sure the bride’s dress looks flawless. 4. Be her calm in the storm If anything goes wrong (a late vendor, missing bouquet, family drama), stay composed. A great bridesmaid keeps the energy light and the focus on celebration. 5. Celebrate like a pro When it’s time to dance, toast, and enjoy, do it wholeheartedly. You’re not just a helper; you’re part of the memory. After the Wedding: The Wrap-Up Once the confetti settles, there are still a few thoughtful things you can do: Help tidy up or return rentals. Offer to take home décor or gifts if needed. Share photos and videos. Create a shared album so the couple can relive the moments. Send a heartfelt message. Thank the bride for including you and tell her how special it was to stand beside her. Stay in touch. After months of planning, you’ll miss the group chat more than you think! How Much Does Being a Bridesmaid Cost? On average: Dress / alterations: £60–£150 Hair & makeup: £70–£100 Bachelorette / Hen party: £200–£250 Travel & accommodation: £100–£200 Gift: £50 - £100 Total: roughly £650–£700 depending on location. The Golden Rules of a Great Bridesmaid Communicate honestly and kindly. Stay flexible, plans change! Don’t complain (at least not to the bride). Support, don’t outshine. Remember: it’s about celebrating love. Free Download: Bridesmaid Duties Checklist Keep yourself organised with this simple printable guide: Download Bridesmaid Duties Checklist – Before, During & After (PDF) What’s inside: Pre-Wedding: planning, budgeting, dress shopping Wedding Day: arrival, emergency kit, photos, keeping calm Post-Wedding: tidy-up, sharing photos, thank-you notes Print it, tick things off, and you’ll breeze through your bridesmaid duties like a pro. Being a bridesmaid is about love, loyalty, and laughter. Yes, there will be group chats, spreadsheets, and a few late-night pep talks, but when you watch your best friend say “I do,” it’s all worth it. So, take a deep breath, pop the prosecco, and enjoy the ride, you’ve got this, bridesmaid!
