Welcome to our world!
Thank you for visiting our website. We are Louie, Kitty & Ping and we are TH&TH.
We've been building our brand since 2014 when Louie was desperate to find gowns for her own bridesmaids and searched high and low with no success so we decided to create something from scratch and our brand was born.
As the only 3 people in the business we are taking on lots of roles, here we get to interview ourselves, enjoy.
What inspired you to get into fashion?
We all met at Nottingham Trent university in 2001 where we studied fashion design. We immediately bonded over our love of gowns and all 3 of us created final collections that featured signature eveningwear. We realised back then that one day we'd set something up together.
You all embarked on very different career paths, how did this help with creating TH&TH?
Yes we all ended up on other sides of the world from each other in really diverse roles. Ping was whisked off to Hong Kong pretty soon after university, Kitty made New York her home for 7 years and Louie lived out of a suitcase working with international brands in Europe and the U.S. Each of us have different experience that when brought together we felt we could create something special.
When did you create TH&TH?
After Louie's disappointing hunt for bridesmaid dresses in early 2014 we got our heads together and started sketching out ideas. We created the Alara and Charlotte namesake dresses for Louie's bridesmaids and they looked breathtaking. We had so much incredible feedback and requests from other people attending the wedding that we started making dresses for friends and family. When people we didn't know started saying they liked our dresses, it was then that we thought this could become something bigger.
What do you actually do all day?
Ping & Kitty are the creative force behind TH&TH, after designing for 15 years their styles combine to create the most incredible gowns. They both work closely with our production house to develop the dresses and are the brains behind the styling for our shoots. Louie is the business and marketing geek for TH&TH, the resident Instagram queen spends half of her day stalking brides to be on social media.
Who are your style influencers?
If we had to pick three of the brands we admire and look to for inspiration it would be Ellie Saab, Luisa Beccaria & Valentino. The aesthetic is feminine with a nod to bygone days but with a real modernity. We're also obsessed with influencers such as Alice Naylor Leyland, Lauren Santo Domingo and Caroline Sieber. Their lifestyles and wardrobes are the ultimate TH&TH dream. We are verging on stalking waiting for their next Insta updates.
What has been your highlight of TH&TH so far?
There have been so many highlights. We absolutely love it when magazines and bloggers contact us and let us know they really love what we are doing, that is always such a high moment for us. Whoever reads the message first will always send an OMG message on our TH&TH what's app group. But our greatest moments are when a bride sees her girls in our dresses and we witness one of the most special moments friends can have. That cannot be beaten.
Who is the TH&TH customer?
A bride who is looking for something extra special for her girls, who wants her bridesmaids to look like goddesses beside her. Girls who want to turn up the sophistication but maintain a contemporary edge. Girls who dream of fairytale dressing.
What's next for TH&TH?
We are developing new styles for next season and working with lots of incredible brides designing bespoke dresses for their bridesmaids. We've been spending lots of time draping on the tailors dummy and travelling to source new and beautiful fabrics to wow everyone in 2017.
Who has helped you along the way?
First and foremost our incredible families who have believed in us from the start. We absolutely love our mums and dads liking and commenting on our Insta posts.
Secondly, the biggest shout out to Katie Bambro from Krafted who is the most talented branding and web designer ever. She has made the TH&TH we had in our minds into reality with her slick use of colour, type and layout and her input into the direction of the brand.
